Reefwatch Air Tours, a division of General Aviation Maintenance,
owns twenty-one Aero Commander 500S aircraft,
two AC680 and two AC690 Turbine models
(a total of twenty-five in the fleet), making it the largest
operator of this type of aircraft in the world. These aircraft
are twin-engine with a large cabin, air-conditioning, low
floor for easy access for passengers and an extremely good
loading capacity for aircraft of their size. Some of the aircraft
in the fleet are fitted with long-range tanks giving them
more than 1000 miles operating range and they can easily be
configured to carry either passengers or freight with a minimum
of fuss.
|
|
A number of AC500S aircraft based in Cairns were previously
Australian Customs surveillance aircraft with special bubble
observation windows. The two AC690 Turbine aircraft are ideal
for longer flights, VIP transfers or more "time critical"
operations. There is also an aircraft dedicated to aerial
survey photography, operating throughout Australia and into
the Pacific Ocean Islands.
With our experience on the aircraft type,
they are very reliable and inexpensive to operate. Combine
these highly efficient aircraft with a team of experienced
and dedicated operations staff and Reefwatch Air Tours is
the perfect air charter alternative!
